We should do a mangonel because it has a large range, and it is a simple design. - Alex Coe and Chloe Freeman
We will be using this website (http://www.stormthecastle.com/catapult/catapult-assembly3.htm) for our model with a few modifications. We will be using the popsicle sticks as the wood, and we will be assembling the base with it. For the axel attaching the catapult arm to the base, we will be taping all of the paper clips together. The catapult arm will be made of two popsicle sticks, and the hooks will be made of wooden clothespins. Then, the basket for the pom pom will be made of a Dixie cup with the top cut off. We will glue the axel to the upright sides of the base, and we will put it through the catapult arm. We will be using a rubber band to hold the catapult arm up and give it tension when held back, The trigger will be a popsicle stick nailed into the base, which will hold the catapult arm down until we pull a string to swivel it to sit fully on the base.
